Learn More About Security
If you're interested in learning more about Internet security, there are a lot of good sources of information. Many are technical, however, so this is not for the faint of heart.

The latest advisories on virus and other malware activity.
Virus Primer
A good technical FAQ about viruses and other Internet security threats.
Virus Map
The Trend Micro Virus Map displays information about actual virus infections detected by HouseCall, our free on-line virus scanner for PCs. Trend Micro uses this dynamic map to analyze worldwide virus trends in real time and to predict virus outbreaks and prevent them proactively.
Virus Encyclopedia
A comprehensive, fully searchable database of virtually every virus or security threat known.
Spyware/Grayware Database
Spyware is a program that monitors and gathers user information for different purposes. Spyware programs usually run in the background, with their activities transparent to most users.
Grayware is Trend Micro's general classification for applications that have annoying, undesirable, or undisclosed behavior. Grayware applications do not fall into any of the major threat (ie. Virus or Trojan horse) categories as they are subject to system functionality, as well as user debate.
Phishing Encylopedia
A detailed database of all known phishing attacks.
Scams & Hoaxes Encyclopedia
This hoax encyclopedia is a repository of common hoaxes and is dedicated to the fight against wasted time, bandwidth, and even finances. Hoaxes are misleading, often false, information that have spread or are spreading — the most common channel of this spread being email. Most users spread hoaxes inadvertently by forwarding them. Others intentionally send out messages to trick unsuspecting recipients into falling victims to moneymaking schemes.
Joke Programs
This repository contains descriptions of programs that are detected by Trend Micro antivirus as joke programs with the identifying prefix JOKE. Joke programs usually cause abnormal behavior or display fake error messages to trick users into believing that something has gone wrong with their systems. Unlike most malware programs, joke programs do not change system settings or cause damage. They also do not infect files or replicate.
Safe Computing Guide
To increase security on your system, follow these practices to set up and configure your system. The idea is to make it more difficult or impossible for malicious code to enter your system or execute automatically.
